| Shipping: All plants are shipped in pots unless otherwise indicated in our catalog.
Customers may request bare root shipping for additional service fee and save on
shipping cost.
We ship within the Continental US. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto
Rico. For regulatory reasons, we do not ship plants outside of the United
States.
Shipping Methods: For express service, we use Fedex Express Overnight,
Fedex 2 Day Express, and USPS (US Postal Service) Express Mail. For ground
service, we use Fedex Ground (to business address), Fedex Home Delivery (to
residential address), and USPS Priority Mail.
Shipping Schedule: Online orders received on or before Saturday are
shipped the following Monday. Orders received on Sunday are shipped on
Tuesday. Exception: In cases where purchased plants have
time to dry off, orders may be shipped the next day. For example, order placed
on Sunday maybe shipped on Monday.
When shipped, you will also be notified by e-mail from corresponding website
(Fedex or USPS) and our website with Fedex tracking number of USPS delivery
confirmation number.
Our prefer shipping method is Fedex Express Services (Overnight or 2 Day
Express) where last drop off time is 8:30 pm Central. This allows us to avoid
afternoon heat in the summer months, or to prolong the use of heat pack in the
winter months.
For Texas resident - we offer a flat rate $10 ground shipping of any size
order via best method of Fedex Ground, Fedex Home Delivery, or USPS Priority
Mail. It usually takes 1 day to deliver to most area close to DFW Metroplex.
All shipment made with US Postal Service and Fedex Home or Ground delivery
are dropped off by 5:00 pm Central.
Generally we ship on Monday and Tuesday only. Orders placed with
Express shipping method maybe shipped on Wed thru Friday depending on services
requested. There is additional shipping charge $15 for Fedex Express
Saturday delivery.
If you have specific shipping request, let us know of your request in order
comment or contact us via e-mail prior to placing your order.
Shipping Delivery: If you require specific delivery time, use Fedex
Express hold for pickup service for no additional cost. This option is
particularly useful and recommended by us for summer and winter months shipping.
If you require specific delivery date, use either Fedex Express or USPS Express
Mail service. We will request refund on your behalf if shipments are not
made on time with any guaranteed Express service.
Shipping with Express services -
- You are expected to sign for delivery, or you made arrangement with
Fedex to waive signature, or specify in order comment that you do not wish
to sign for delivery.
Shipping with Ground services -
- Please note that there is no guarantee on delivery date when you
choose either Fedex Ground, Fedex Home Delivery or USPS Priority Mail. These
services average 2-3 day to deliver, but can take up to 4 days to deliver in
some area. Therefore, these services are not available in the summer
or winter months, with the exception of Texas residents who elect flat rate
$10 ground service. We only ship orders made with these services on
Monday and Tuesday to avoid the chance that package may be sitting in
warehouse over the weekend.
- If you choose Fedex Ground or Home Delivery for your order, please
specify in the order comment if shipping address is business or residential.
Fedex Ground delivery are generally made during business hours from Monday
thru Friday, and Fedex Home delivery are generally made in the afternoon or
evening hours from Tuesday thru Saturday.
- Most ground services do not require signature on delivery. If you wish
to sign for delivery or purchase insurance, please specify your request in
the order comment.

WINTER Shipping
During the winter months, we will ship to area where temperature is above 40 F. We use 40 hours heat pack where necessary.
We recommend that you have plants delivered to a Fed-ex station for pickup, to minimize package expose to cold weather. We will work with you to hold shipment when weather permits
safe shipping.
Guarantee/Return Policy:
Your satisfaction is important to us because we want your repeat business. We
guarantee that all plants are healthy and correctly labeled at time of shipping. p>
At Big Leaf Orchids, our policy is to not accept returns. Please make
your selections carefully and let us help you with any presale questions.
No cash refunds will be issued for goods purchased.
Please contact Big Leaf Orchids within 24 hours after delivery if there is
damage, missing or mistake in your order. We will assist you with claims against
carriers on physical damage during shipping.
Due to the nature of live plants, Big Leaf Orchids cannot be held responsible for
flower size and quality that depend on subsequent care of plants once they leave our facilities.
Our liability in any case is limited to the purchase price. However, if you have concerns with any plant purchased from us, please notify us and let us have the opportunity to help. |
