New zygolum hybrid

Post by Orchidsarefun » Fri Nov 20, 2015 7:58 am

I am also interested in zygo crosses.
One of my hybrids has just bloomed - at 15 months. I always mention time to bloom as I have found that its the main reason why people don't try hybridizing. Its " it takes YEARS to bloom! " Maybe with some - like certain catts - but not all.

This is a bloom with that is 8cm across, has a honey/hyacinth scent. And has unique colouring - if you are familiar with zygo colouring, you will know what I mean. It is compact ( so far ) and a vigorous grower. I am really pleased.

Congratulations. Looks like a big flower on a compact plant.
