Hello everyone

Post by BriDroid » Mon Nov 10, 2014 5:55 pm

I'm really new to orchids. I've always grown something from saltwater reef tanks to freshwater planted tanks. My new job has me traveling quite a bit and getting my wife to help wasn't going so well.

My wife's mom recently passed and we were given, among many plants, a very pretty Phal noid orchid. I've been mesmerized by its beauty. I've already bought a tiny seedling that is years away from blooming and just ordered a Phal bellina from Peter I'll be picking up later this week.

I just wanted to say hello and hope to grow and learn a lot from y'all!

Welcome! I think everyone here is super envious that you are within 'picking up' range from Peter.

Hi Brian, glad you are so close to Peter to just drop by. You'll learn tons here about growing all kinds of orchids, not just Phals. Be prepared: it's a serious addiction. :)

Hope you don't mind that I've moved this to the Introductions section. :)

Welcome, Brian to this great community. Great people willing to share ideas and solutions.
I live in Corinth, so we are practically neighbors.

Thanks everyone! I just got back from Peter's place. WOW is about all I can say! Absolutely gorgeous greenhouse!

He is also a very nice guy too, very helpful. Answered my questions and told me don't hesitate to contact him with anything.

I feel like I've found a great bunch of folks!

Thanks again!
Brian

Welcome, Brian. Peter is a great guy and nothing phony about him except his robotic dog Pylo. LOL
