Tell us, if you will please, something about the parents. I second Bob's notion about your plant's charisma. Is it part "jungle" type? Loads of character, in any event. Can't wait to see more of your pictures.

Thank you Bob and Walton :-) i don't know much about the parents, but Paul Lippold one of the parents breeder prefered the star shaped form. I know some of the other plants of this cross and they are rounder. I also have a sister of this plant and she is also more round (i will show a pic when she is in bloom). So i think the plant from the pic above is the "wildest kid" in this family

(I hope my english is not to terrible - i'm still working to get better  )

Many greetings from Germany,

Julia

The "wild type" is from Peter. This is its best shape yet in terms of balance. First bloom was very nearly 3" VNS and it seems to want to flower all the time. I think this was the C 403 strain from Peter.

The second one is 'Crystelle', and I have a question please: that little stripe of color on the right-hand side of the photo. This stripe was also on the immediate previous flower, but it had no stripes on last year's flowering. I am growing it in nearly Cattleya level light with 15+ hour daylength. I have another plant, LDBK 'YK-14' that is also showing the same little, straight stripes on most of its six flowers; none of the flowers it has made before ever had a single stripe (and it is one heckuva floriferous cultivar, so I've seen enough previous flowers to wonder it this is a light issue...). Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Best to all,
Walton

From Peter's F1706.

I know this is redundant to another post, but I'm having trouble posting today for some reason (mine...not the website) and I know that sometimes bellinas get seen more on this page and sometimes when posted on their own...please forgive me, but I like this plant so much I want to share...and perhaps share again! :D

I have waited almost three days to see if this one would reflex before posting, since they often do at this time of year. Only the laterals have reflexed, and not much at that. The petals are still, to me, beautiful. This is Peter's cross and there are probably so, so many more good ones to come.
Best to all,
Walton

This is ('Select #4' x 'Marley #1'). Peter recently offered a much more round one on eBay, but I mention this one here to reiterate the vigor of this strain. Great roots and good, strong, thick leaves. Plus, it is "new blood" to the 'Country Acres' and 'Bonsall' lines.
