Ben, where did you get those fantastic trays? Are they ebb&flow reservoirs? They seem like the perfect size for indoors
Thanks
John

Yeah, you can get them at any hydroponics place. I water with a big watering pail and have watered with a hose in my basement before and you don't have to worry about it hitting the floor.

They make an 8 x 4 one, but I like the 4 x 4 so I can move them and take them out and pressure wash/Chlorox them in the summer.

Can't take credit. It was Mike's idea.

Ben I'm scoping everyone's basement greenhouse designs to build one later this year.

What are your greenhouse dimensions?

For your 4x4 ebb & flo tables, are the tops a solid surface like a sheet of ply, or are they slatted like your smaller seedling ebb & flo's?

Thanks.

Cheers.
Jim

I don't remember. I'll have to measure it for you sometime next time I have someone over that can help me. Its about 12x17. Odd dimensions I know, but I'm a terrible construction kinda person, and I wanted to fit the space I had.

They are slatted like the smaller ones. There is a different type of ebb and flow that is made of a black material. I don't like these as much because the rasied sections are curved on the side. (Its hard to describe) On one of these, smaller pots would always be tipping over. Mike uses these, but he has put plastic peg board down in them so he doesn't have this problem.

Update on this.... it is a sad day... the greenhouse is gone. I'm moving and it had to come down. Lots of memories of my piddling and plants in that space and it is an empty hole now.

On the positive side, it is a great move for me and things can only get better from here.

Moving is so tiring, I just did as well. Hope your plants are okay, some of mine did not hold up well with the cold weather.

You never know how much stuff you have until you move!
Are you going to put your greenhouse in your new home?

I've been getting rid of stuff for 2 years in preparation for this and I still have too much junk.

I am getting rid of all this stuff. Growing under lights sucks and if I do it again, I'll do it differently. I don't want to store all this junk. Trying to find people to take it and have some offers that I have agreed to, but no one is showing up... ugh.
