Hi Alain - thank's for posting these beauties - it is always so nice to see the parents of a cross :D

I love the first one a little bit more - but both are really beautiful!

Thanks Alain

We can see Phal bellina is again dominate in this hybrid. I should get this registered. Sonja flowered this also. I will look for her picture on FB and add to this thread.

I agree with Sylvi on the first part, but I love the second one a little bit more. :)

They both look amazing! I do like the 2nd one a little more hehe. Thanks for including the pictures of the parents, Alain.

Seems like I to have a thing for bellina crosses...

Seeding the results of this cross is very interesting. Alain, the roots on No 1 are amazing. What do you pot in?

If Alain did not get around to repotting, it should still be in live sphagnum.

People grow Phals in live sphagnum? Wow. That must be hard. How do you fertilize?

Only the seedlings in live sphagnum. And I do not fertilize till they are bigger and repotted into a mixture of sphagnum and bark.

They love the live sphagnum!

I bet they do! And if you don't fertilize much, that explains how you can keep the moss alive. The famous English hothouses of the 1800s grew their phals in a mix of live sphagnum, brick sherds, and bits of shredded oak leaves.....they report growing amabilis flowers up to 5" across!
