Seems my comment didn't post :-/. Don't remember what I said, but suffice it to say... Awesome! Hopefully you're taking this to your show this weekend Mike.

Jarad, I obtained this at the show this weekend. Cannot take any credit here, Krull Smith brought a few selections of Peters cross and I just pounced! These flowers are incredibly colorful and large. Old, dying flowers age to a deep, dark orange color. These are first bloom seedlings in 6" pots. I wish I could have gotten a photo of Franks favorite clone which was NFS. Round, red, perfect, just remarkable. Excellent hybrid Peter!

2nd plant I have of Peters cross. Great cross Peter! These are just amazing, color is very deep and orange. Flowers are large, have a very heavy substance and have strong flower stems. Thus, they present very well and there's no drooping like I feel we see on some novelty phals with gigantea influence. Some novelty phal flowers are so thick and heavy that the flower stem does not hold each flower up very well. No issues here. As these flowers age they get really dark orange which I think will be fun to work with. Fragrance to boot!

Thank you Mike. These are the pictures I took last November at Frank's greenhouse.

Frank Smith wanted everyone to know that he's going to be presenting several excellent examples of Peter's incredibly successful hybridizing program, including this beautiful Phal. Pylo's Giga Eagle 'Crystelle', in the exhibition tent at the Redland Orchid Festival this weekend.
