First a question - where can I find a master list of species for the bulbophyllum/cirrhopetalum complex? I have seen Elizabeth Ann listed as both a cirrhopetalum and a bulbophyllum.

This was a what-the-heck, see-if-I-can-grow/bloom-it purchase at the Cherry City Orchid Show in spring of 2014. I shifted the plant from windowsill to windowsill to chase the sun during the seasons as I did with the Bulbo. medusae. The plant grew well and produced three bloom stems for me.

The total of the flower count on the three bloom stems are 15 flowers that have lasted a total of two weeks so far. The individual flowers are 4 1/4 inches long. Very impressive flowers.

This is such a nice flower that takes very little care. I have a piece of this since 1990s and despite of my lack of care, a piece of this manage to hang on. I don't have a large specimen plant to show - but given the little effort I put into growing, I'm really please that it is still around in my greenhouse.

I saw a larger plant of this flowering when I gave a talk to Charlotte Orchid Society earlier this month. This plant belongs to Dorcas. I just took these pictures to share. She did a great job growing this.

Congratulations to Dorcas for a spectacular specimen plant. It will be years before my small piece of this hybrid grows enough to bloom like the plant Peter pictured. It is so easy to grow that I have hopes of actually getting mine that large.
