F1309 Phal Memory Mario Dallarosa

Phal Memory Mario Dallarosa
(Princess Kaiulani f. flava X maculata (orange))

This was wishful thinking that I would have a flower with orange markings like Phal maculata. Nonetheless this is the first to flower. I'm learning that Phal maculata has a strong influence on flower form.

Still there's something about the puffy lip from maculata that's really nice! Perhaps the other seedlings will have what you're looking for. Nice work blooming the first of these ; )

Wow. So it's been a year and this is the same plant. Flower is noticeably larger and flat. Phal maculata is one of the Phal species with true red markings. Form is very dominated by Phal maculata but maybe if we bloom enough of this hybrid made with another parent to get the best color and form. Im thinking of taking a chance to use this with a Bellina or its hybrid.
