This opened while I was getting a new hip socket....nice to come home to.
Very thick petals and a really lush color. Not much scent yet. Waited 3 plus years for it to bloom, worth it.

Thank you for sharing Ross.

This flower has good color and round petals that I love.

Beautiful. Such really intense color...and shape. Nice.

Best of luck on your recovery; it always seems to take more time than the booklets say, but at least you have a great distraction to attend to in your mind as you heal up.

Is this the first time this has bloomed for your? Seems to me the one I have took 3-4 years to bloom. It also just put out a 2nd bloom.
Yes indeed, very cool Phal. Have a YK-7 in bloom and thinking of children:o )

No, it has bloomed before, but this is the first time it has bloomed really good. Going to try to post a pic, but I'm not sure a link back to FB will work.

DO IT! 'YK-7' is one of my favorites on its own merits -- almost always in flower and actually capable of quite round flowers on occasion -- and it is a proven parent.
