So I recently picked up what was labeled a Phal. pallens at the recent show, from a reputable seller... and I've been looking at a lot of photos of P. pallens to see how good of a plant I got... however, the patterning doesn't really match up with any P.pallens I've seen. It is close, but... then I came across some photos of P.reichenbachiana var alba, which more closely match the patterning/color, https://www.phals.net/reichenbachiana/2000/00ph0208.jpg
I know this isn't the best photo to get an ID from, and the flower isn't the best due to shipping stress, but I'm curious what you think. P. pallens or P. reichenbachiana?
Post your questions and photos to identify a species phalaenopsis. We maybe able to identify a primary hybrid between two species parents. Generally we cannot identify a complex hybrid.
