Decontamination, what anti-fungi do you recommend?

Post by NHguy03276 » Wed Nov 11, 2015 3:50 am

I picked up a Clearance bin NoID Phal, and unknowingly brought home Blackrot... I think I caught it in time to save the plant, but it's under observation... however, it was in too close proximity to the rest of my collection for my liking for a couple days... I have removed and disposed of any organic material that was in contact with the plant, all pots/tools have been sterilized, counters have been wiped down with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The plant is in a modified spag and bag, away from the others.
I'd like to dose the collection with a systemic anti-fungi, as a precaution... Any thoughts? Anything I might have missed in the cleanup?

Thanks...

The "standard" in the orchid world is Clearys 3336 WP, but you can get the generic Thiomyl at a much better price.

Thanks, Some Thiomyl has been ordered, and should be here by Friday.
