Leaf death or Terminal Spike?

Post by charlaux » Sun May 28, 2017 10:27 am

Hi,

I have this plant that I can't remind the name of (with a zebrina cross from Louisiana Orchid Connection) that sprouted a new leaf but that leaf being dead. Not the crown but a tiny leaf like stuff was yellow and I am certain that this breed has no yellow color so it is not flower. it does not look like a spike as well. my question was if the new leaf formation dies in the plant, does it mean the automatic loss of regrowth?

thank you for the answer

Most likely. Crown is damaged that result in the new leaf dead or dying.

Dear peterlin,

Thank you for the answer. I found this really weird but that tiny yellow leaflet developed into a big leaf with a yellow tip only. I hope this means it will be reproducing somehow :)
